10 minutes

but it was a good 10 minutes - no grief on mounting, no setting of the jaw, lots of softness and, so far as i could feel, back legs coming through, direction as i requested after a couple of false starts (pheasant hiding in long grass, horse's tail swishing behind a tree, that's all you could see, and a very odd looking van through the trees!) ... generally very pleased with that, particularly as I was totally starving not having had lunch....normally starving makes me feel queasy!

so i was quite pleased with both of us (and yes, i put the shorter girth on!)

that was after Molly's feet had been attended to by the farrier.

A short, but sweet session, then!

Good. Now remember, the less you focus on the distractions the less Molly will notice them. If you worry, she will worry, so just try to think about a riding exercise and concentrate on that instead of monsters beyond the bushes.
