in hand....and in hand...

i thought i'd do a bit inhand before i got on... she was good, i didn't hurt too much, what can i say.

but she wouldn't stand to let me get on, and i didn't have my pressure halter of course.

so did a bit more in hand and then stopped, i didn't have the time to persist with the mounting as i had to be home to work this evening (clients, of course, work days...)

At least you got out there and now have in mind what you need to work on next.

Ok, well, it's always a start. Working in hand was a good idea.

Too bad about the mounting, but Molly seems to be pretty determined about your not getting on sometimes. You'll just have to keep dealing with that when you are not so rushed for time.

Guess you saw Caroline's reply about the ulcer meds.
Ranitidine is only a temporary solution, but testing with it to see if there is a difference can be informative.

How frustrating! Are you sure this isn't a saddle issue as it seems to apply to Molly not wanting to be ridden?

clients and work, that sounds good!!

jane, nice idea... but no, she was like this from the very start, and it's irrespective of what saddle goes on her back (or if a saddle goes on her back..)

Thought you'd probably have ruled it out! (Fraid I haven't read all of your blog!!)
