i can cue canter right rein ok, but left rein not.
she does have a very nice canter, and is starting to be able to keep it going longer on teh lunge, which is good.
trot needs some work, can pull side reins in a shade but ok.

OK, so when are you going to ride that lovely canter? *G* Make this summer a goal. Once you do you will be over your fears and ready to go on in a big way.
Every session you seem to be making progress. This is so good to hear. Molly will need to find her balance a little better on the left before she will willingly offer canter. We have to remember that horse's brains do not operate as ours do and to them each side is an entirely different experience from the other.
Oh yes, riding the canter...I reckon soon with your good progress this year.
ummm well thanks for your confidence, all, but i don't think i'm going to ride the canter until RI is there to help me do it and until i'm a lot happier about my legs/seat....that foot is still painful, and i don't want to do it in again!
Actually, i was thinking that once we move I can try it out on a hack going uphill, i generally find that's easier...
Yes, good idea, a nice relaxed hack, gentle canter uphill! Sounds good.
