due to Molly's inability/unwillingness to do anything sensible right rein, and/or my inability to make her....
ah well.
the work yesterday didn't REALLY transfer to my own horse...
i did take my stirrups up, which did help a bit... but we need to rearrange the lesson that DIDN'T happen week past sunday ....
the shims are fine now anyway
and i've bought a HM seatsaver from an EE vendor for use during lunge lessons and if I ride anyone else's horse....

So it was you that bought it:)
yup!
It will work out eventually. If training a horse and riding were easy there would not be hundreds of websites and thousands of books out there with all kinds of recommendations.
And remember, sometimes, Molly may just not feel like working. Horses are no different than we are that way and it is a rare one ready willing and able to cooperate every day and every hour.
Jean speaks wise words!!
oh I know, Jean & Trudi....
anyway, I was reading mandeigh's stuff on EE from last night (and your response, Trudi) which has given me something to think about .. back to walk for at least one night, possibly without stirrups...
for some reason I've taken my stirrups up 2 holes, or to put it another way, i can no longer keep my leg stable at the longer length....which i had been able to do a lot better than i can now, for ages
and the bruise on my knee is interesting...
