aaarrrgggghhhh

the frustration of trying to get on.

then once i'd had a hand to get on, and we were both concentrating, i was interrupted by someone wanting to know if i'd read my letter - to which i said, what letter? the one from YO about increased rates. haven't read it yet. after that didn't really get it back... lot of head tossing. but some of that is improved a lot when i remember to slow her down with my seat. but really i'd got so pissed off with her tonight.... don't know why, as it's nothing new this, but it seems particularly frustrating when she stands just slightly where you don't want her, you move the block, get up on it and then she moves as you lift your leg to put it in the stirrup.....

So hard to keep your cool when things just keep going wrong. It may take hours of in-hand work to fix that mounting problem. No fun at all when what you really want to do is ride.

Some days just don't work out as you hope. *sigh*

So is the increase reasonable?

Is money a worry if you don't find a new job quickly?

certainly is, caroline - i've never been one of life's savers...:-(

the increase probably is reasonable, £125 pcm (that's what i'm told, i'll have to read the letter myself!) isn't bad in anyone's book, and frankly not a great increase over what we're paying now (£25 pw). but is more than other DIY yards round the area.

You are lucky that soimebody gives you a hand.

Morgan has developped great defense for mounting, he will either back or swing his hindlegs away ... grrrrrrrrrrr

One day he got th best of me, I walloped him., He stood still.

But that was aone off, so I put him in a corner, where he coudl not back or swing his hinds.
I mounted.

Now with what I know about Parelli. I shoudl have made him work hard for not standing still, but being provocativ ==> read high level of energy, not more agressive.

I hope you fins a job soon. these economic times are not fun for anybody!
