laptop

now refuses to switch on, despite being plugged into the mains and in any event having a full battery. an internal electrical fault, i think. so need to find a good computer repair man ASAP. (it's out of warranty)

so until i can get it mended (do hope i don't have to have a new one!) this will only be updated from home. :-(

as for £60 per week - i'm used to paying £25 box rent full DIY, + buy my own haylage/feed, and £60 is only £13.50 less than i'm paying now for box rent and having Molly fully done monday to friday.... haylage/feed cost me probably around that £13.50 a week (depending on the size of the haylage bales and where i get them) + shavings at current price, if I'm doing it one bag a week (unfortunately, slightly more ATM).

Was wondering what the other yard cost you. That is a good size difference in price. Is the area generally more expensive?

Too bad about the lap top. Not something you can easily fix by yourself, obviously. More frustration, I fear. *sigh*

Ah well, that's the "proper" north versus Wilmslow for you. It's not the area where all the footballers live for nothing!!

Jean, Alderley Edge (side by side small town with Wilmslow, practically the same place) has the highest per capita sales of champagne in the entire country. Affluent, and therefore expensive.

and ronaldo gets his hair done at the barber opposite the office (sorry, the hairdresser) and Mrs Rooney has been known to get a parking ticket parking outside the office for longer than allowed.....

Sorry Jean, this is english Football (soccer to you) and wilmslow is Footballer's Wives territory.

Having said that ....there must be something about that isn't going to kill the finances!
