mobberley

yard outside there in the back of beyond - one of those, if you don't know it's there, you'll never know it's there, so as secure as can be in the scale of things. nice people, nice horses, arena, nice stables, tackroom, feed store; couldn't see the fields but lady said, mud! but horses legs didn't look that muddy when brought in! believe in turn out every day, good. £60 per week inclusive of hay/haylage. would have been inclusive of bedding as well, but that's straw, which we dont do! that would have been £65 per week. and they turn them out for you in the morning.

6 miles from the office, 8 or 9 miles back home again...

i don't use that much haylage in a week - and forgot to ask how much to have molly done on a weekend when i go home for weekend...

So, is this a good thing?? The place sounds quite nice. Might want to check out the mud, though, just to be sure. How's the price for you? They do the feeding for you and the turnout?

Might be a good choice. I like your "feelings" about the people there. That makes a huge difference.

the price - as i say, jean, i don't spend £40 per week on haylage & feed that would be about USD80 - so go figure.

Name of yard or lady? I don't think I know it, unless it's the riding school, which it doesn't sound like.

You are lucky to be offered winter turnout at all on that part of the Cheshire plain. It's all mud at this time of year and many places insist on them staying in.

Further toward Congleton it turns to sand which drains brilliantly, but too far for you to travel I guess.
