a short ride tonight - i was lucky there was still someone there to hold her whilst i got on.
just walk work, and some exercised to get her moving away from my leg, but i was clearly getting there because i could really feel her moving under me, and could feel my seatbones.
so we're getting there.
and the new professional's choice girth had arrived .. amazingly sticky!!!!

The Pro Choice girths are great. They make all the difference in the world.
A few minutes of good work is far better than hours of accomplishing nothing.
Do you have a vocal command for Molly to stop? I use an under my breath purr. (Can use it in the show ring too since no one but my horse can hear it.) Every single time we stop, I use the purr. If you condition her to such a sound it might work to keep her still when you mount. Kind of like clicker training without the clicker.
Sitting here now worrying about the snow or sleet or whatever is coming with this storm.
