Interesting. We can only restrain kids if they are a danger to themselves or others. The school does allow confiscation of cell phones, etc. but I don't think we can do it forcibly.

What fascinates me is the idea that teachers can discipline kids outside of school. Around here, that would open up a can of worms. Let's say a kid was misbehaving in a parking lot and I was there but didn't do anything. Then the kid got struck by a vehicle. Sure as shooting, I'd end up slapped with a lawsuit for neglecting to correct his behavior. Yeech.
