back man

the horse physio - who's fully qualified in all respects - is about to go on holiday and won't be able to offer me an appointment until the 1st week in october .... so will ring vets in the morning and see if they can recommend anyone - but of course then they may want to come out themselves ...

and tonight we had to empty a room in the house for the painter coming tomorrow .... nightmare. this room to be emptied tomorrow night, at least we can then put most of it in the room that we've emptied tonight so won't be quite so fraught. and won't move this desk ....

The vet may not be helpful unless they have some training in chiropractic or muscle work.

About the girthing up. There is a nerve that runs in the girth area. Sometimes girthing can pinch it. As well, if your horse is "out" in the breastbone area, that can cause girthiness.

I am so hoping you can get the right person out to check her sooner than later. With my old guy, chiropractic made so much difference, several people were convinced I had bought a new horse.

thanks jean.

i've decided to wait for the physio to get back from his holidays. vets are like gp's - not back people. this chap is a qualified human physio as well as horse, so knows what he's doin.g

and there's a bowen person in durham (no more than 5 miles from me) if i can only trace her phone number again, i think my partner binned the last copy of the local paper that had her advert in ..duh!
